So if you want anything other than junk food (frozen pizza, frozen chicken nuggets, hot dogs. ![]() There are no vegetables at any of the food stands. Oh and you can't bring your own umbrella!ģ. Other places I've been have had umbrellas with the lounge chairs and lounge chairs in shady places - included in the admission price. That doubled what we planned to pay for the day. What little shade they had has been turned into cabana rentals, so they can get an extra $60 to $100 (depending on size) out of you. Really! Even Disney and Universal have water fountains everywhere, because they know it's important to keep guests hydrated.Ģ. We asked and were told if we wanted water we had to by $3 bottle of water. There are no water fountains in this park. While there were a few fun rides and the staff was really nice to us, there are several major problems with this park.ġ. (don't be put off bny the lack of a paved parking lot and basic bathrooms - if they fixed those they would have to increase the prices and then it might not be such a good bargain). If you don't like giant, commerical parks with cartoon characters everywhere, but want a fun day with the kids - this is a good choice. The anaconda was fun but a bit on the scary side. My 5 year old likes the slide that he could go down by himself (after I walked him up with his tube and then ran down to the bottem to meet him). My 8 year old loved the wave pool ( we didn t mind that the waves are only on for 10 and then off for a while - it made it easier to get him out). We especially liked the wild River (your whole family can ride together in a big tube). The bottem line - we had fun and the boys 5 and 8 had a great time to. Aside from food (which we did not purcahse) they don't have tacky concession stands all over the place (one small gift shop when we enter which is easy enough to avoid. We felt there were enough lifeguards everywhere.ġ0. Now it is not like Disney where they are overly friendly and chatty - but no one was rude and they seemed to be paying attention to people getting on and off (esp the little ones) - which is what we expect. the staff seemed attentive to their jobs. The ride through the Catskills is beautiful.ĩ. They do have height and weight limitations on some rides.Ĩ. they don't have life vests as they do at Sesame Place. I will say you are responsible for making your own safe choices for your family. We did not see any glaring safety problems. You can bring in your own snacks, drinks, coolers, etc. because the place was not gigantic it doesn't take long to and from the parking lot to the facilities.ħ. Coupons are available but we forgot them. 3 regular price and one reduced price for child under 7. The park was clean (although by the time we left the bathrooms were getting a bit dirty from overuse - but certainly not gross and there was toilet paper!).ĥ. The lines were not very long (although it was not a very hot day and it was a weekday and this may have contributed)Ĥ. There was plenty of things to do for both boys and fun for us as well.ģ. ![]() Given the park's managable size, we were able to easily get to our towels, locker and meeting places.Ģ. It was not very large and so we were able to do all the rides and visit all the pool area we wanted to in the time we had (about 5 hours). We chose this one over the two in Lake George and we ended up having a great day at Zume Flume. We were looking for a water park for a day trip for us and our 5 and 8 yr old sons.
